About Isdalen
Isdalen AS was established in 1990, with frozen yogurt from Honey Hill Farms in California as its primary product. 7-Eleven was Isdalen's first customer, and since then, Isdalen has expanded its presence across convenience, foodservice, and grocery sectors. Over time, it became natural to offer machinery and machine service for ice cream, and since 2010, Isdalen has been the official dealer of Gel Matic – the world's leading ice cream machines.
In addition to growing its own brands, such as frozen yogurt and slush, Isdalen has also established a leading position in ice cream agencies. Isdalen introduced brands like Häagen-Dazs, Ben & Jerry's, Nocco, Barebells, and Halo Top to the Norwegian market.
In 2016, Isdalen was acquired by Diplom-Is and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tine Group. Historically, Diplom-Is handled the distribution of Isdalen's products, but in 2025, both Diplom-Is and Isdalen transitioned to wholesale distribution as a crucial step towards greater sustainability. This change facilitates increased flexibility, stability, and, importantly, allows more customers to enjoy Isdalen's portfolio.
Isdalen is at the forefront of new products and trends, both in terms of products and machinery. Isdalen customizes solutions that suit the concept and target audience, whether it involves açaí, frozen yogurt, Italian gelato and sorbetto, soft serve, machinery, or well-known international brands. We have short decision-making processes, respond quickly, and provide excellent customer service.
Isdalen has been built brick by brick and remains the same down-to-earth player – now with more experience, a wider range of frozen products, and a strong commitment to excellent customer experiences.
